The Apparition Chapel in Šiluva is an impressive building in the town, resembling a white obelisk. The 44 m high tower opens onto the landscape from afar, approaching Šiluva on the main road. Audiotonas implemented a unique project – designed and installed the lighting of the external walls of the decorative buildings of the chapel and accent lighting inside the chapel. The technical work project was coordinated with the Department of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture. To illuminate the chapel building, 36 different types of special concentrated light spotlights with programmable light color are installed on the walls from all sides. The luminaires are specially designed for outdoor use in all environmental conditions and are designed to provide full and long-lasting protection against dust and dust.
The central prism-shaped tower of the chapel is illuminated from all sides by installing twelve high-power LED spotlights with a controlled light beam angle. The lamps are equipped with an even system of RGBW mixing of various color sources, obtaining any desired color of the light wall. The power of one LED source of the lights illuminating the tower is 520W, and such lights can brightly color the biggest buildings or bridges.
The buttresses and turrets of the lower part of the chapel are illuminated with narrow beam lamps of lower power. Twenty-four floodlights are placed on the walls around the perimeter of the building, some pointing down and some up at a narrower angle, adapting the accentuated angles of the lighting beam to the shape of the building. The automatically changing colors of light emitted by the luminaires according to the script make the chapel visible and eye-catching at any time of the day from afar. Several lights illuminate the stained glass windows of the chapel tower from the inside so that they are clearly visible outside. Accent lights with an adjustable beam angle illuminate and highlight individual fragments of the interior of the chapel – arches, frescoes, St. The stone of the apparition of M. Mary. High-quality white light projectors with special PC-type (Pebble Convention) lenses are installed for lighting the arches and the choir, ensuring uniform lighting of surfaces and people with high quality color rendering indices (CRI – Color Rendering Index).
The lighting control system is computerized and can be controlled remotely via the Internet from any remote location. All floodlights – both outside and inside are controlled from a common computer control system, combining indoor and outdoor lighting depending on the time of day and different special occasions. For the control of floodlights to reduce the impact of cable installation on building walls, control signal transmission transmission devices. Intelligent management of the lighting system provides opportunities not only to illuminate the chapel in a diverse and attractive way, manage and control the consumption of electricity, and extend the longevity of the lamps.
