Video system for film screenings
The hall is equipped with a 4K resolution laser video projector, which displays the image on a special projection screen, thus obtaining perfect color reproduction and image contrast. It is worth noting that the hall screen is not flat, but curved – like large screens in cinema centers. A powerful stationary computer and an autonomous video player are installed for broadcasting films and demonstrating other video material.
Hall sound system
Marin Audio equipment was used for the surround sound of the event hall in a 5.1 configuration – full-frequency and low-frequency acoustic systems CDD12, CDD15, SXC118. Part of the acoustic systems are installed behind the video screen, thus enhancing the surround sound effects when watching films. Signal transmission to the amplifiers is carried out via a digital Dante network.
Since the natural acoustic properties of the museum hall were quite poor, a Biamp Tesira Forte DAN AI processor was used to obtain high-quality sound, which processes the audio signals sent to each speaker. Physical means of suppressing unwanted sound reflections were also used – acoustic curtains and strategically placed acoustic panels. The result – significantly improved acoustic properties of the room, reduced reverberation, greater sound clarity and intelligibility.
For other events, a junction box, a digital mixing console for the sound operator, and a complete system of wireless digital Shure microphones were installed on the stage of the hall.
Lighting control and system integration
The goal of Audiotonas is to create a convenient and easily controllable system. Using the manufacturer’s Crestron automation equipment, we combined the operation of the video and audio systems. “Scenarios” of hall configurations were prepared for employees, which can be selected with just a few clicks on the control panel. We also integrated the hall lighting system control, so the hall lights are automatically turned on and off when showing films. The user interface of the control panels was customized specifically for this project, enabling only those functions that are really needed. Automated control also significantly simplifies the maintenance of all systems – both video and audio systems (projector, sound amplifiers) are turned on and off using the same control panel, so employees no longer have to worry about ensuring that all equipment is properly turned on before the event and turned off after work.
