Sound system
Inside the wooden chapel built in 1945, Audiotonas conducted acoustic measurements of the space. Based on the results obtained, it was proposed to use special sound dispersion acoustic systems from the manufacturer Renkus-Heinz. These column-type acoustic systems allow you to individually (based on the available measurement results) adjust the sound dispersion angles of each speaker, thus reducing the amount of unwanted sound reflections. In addition, these acoustic systems do not stand out in the overall interior of the room due to their minimalist appearance. Additional sound processing is performed by an AMC DSP8X8 sound processor, which also performs the main system control function.
Until now, the chapel did not have an outdoor sound system. Two AMC 05 acoustic systems, adapted for use in outdoor conditions, are installed on the outer wall of the building. The sound of the outdoor and indoor zones is controlled separately by a Biamp Impera Echo wall controller.
Microphones
On the altar of the chapel, on the altar table and on the pulpit, there are fixed microphones that can be turned on with the push of a button. The organist’s place is also equipped with a fixed Shure SM58 vocal microphone with a conveniently adjustable stand and another wireless Shure SLXD vocal microphone system that operates throughout the chapel space and outdoors, which can be used for various needs. The signals from all microphones go to the aforementioned digital DSP8X8 audio processor, which automatically adjusts sound levels, helps to avoid noise and excitation of the sound system. Since the wireless system station is installed in a common equipment cabinet, external antenna signal amplifiers and antenna holders have been installed in the main space of the building.
Altar lighting
During the system renovation work, a modern spotlight was installed to illuminate the altar table. This spotlight uses a single-color LED light source, has adjustable light dispersion, and also operates completely silently.
