In the Vingis Stadium of the Lithuanian Sports Center, located in Vingis Park in Vilnius, the Audiotonas team installed a new outdoor LED screen – scoreboard. The screen is used during competitions and events to display results, sponsor logos, and can also be used to broadcast various video clips. The new screen is installed in a metal frame that previously housed an LED screen that had reached its end of life, so the size of the new LED screen is 5.76m x 2.88m (total screen area 16.58 m²), it is precisely adapted to the existing frame dimensions.
The installed screen offers even 3 times greater resolution, which is now 864×432 pixels, and the distance between the pixels (Pixel Pitch) has decreased from 20 mm to 6.67 mm – simply put, the new screen will have a noticeably “sharper”, less “dotted” image, especially when viewing the screen up close.
Since the screen is installed in outdoor conditions, the degree of protection of the LED modules front panel housing is IP68 and the degree of protection of the rear part housing is IP54. This ensures reliable protection against the effects of moisture and dust. In total, the screen consists of 18 units of interconnected 960×960 mm modules. In addition to the screen itself, we also updated the screen control and signal transmission equipment at the stadium.
