Sound systems in Vilnius television tower

At the beginning of April after the reconstruction the Vilnius TV Tower was opened to visitors. The 67th floor of the tallest building in Lithuania locates a bistro-bar with an open outdoor terrace, the 68th floor houses never before used space for business meetings and events with meeting rooms and lounges. Various Lithuanian companies worked on different parts of the implementation of this project, Audiotonas was assigned the task of installing sound systems for indoor and outdoor spaces, as well as conferencing equipment. During the entire project, we worked closely with the architect of the project, paying a lot of attention to the aesthetic design and quality parameters of the equipment.

Bistro-bar backgound music system

The bistro-bar area is equipped with background sound system with wall-mounted control panels near the bar. Frameless PCR 8T ceiling speakers from the manufacturer AMC and newly designed C60 control panels were used. The system uses Blaze Audio PowerZone™ Connect series multi-channel audio amplifiers with an integrated DSP processor, which allows adjusting the characteristics of audio signals without additional equipment. For the outdoor terrace, the Cornered Audio Ci5-V acoustic systems resistant to moisture and other environmental conditions were selected.

High-pressure, directional high/mid-frequency acoustic systems and a low-frequency acoustic system installed in the ceiling are installed for the needs of events. It is possible to connect a microphone or other additional audio input to the sound system, the system is also controlled via a wall panel and centrally via a PC.

Conference room and lounges

The conference room is equipped with video conferencing equipment and a 65″ high brightness LG screen. Indoor screens usually have lower brightness, but we guessed that the participants gathered on the 68th floor are unlikely to want to close the window curtains just to be able to see the displayed image more clearly during the day – so we chose a higher brightness screen with an anti-reflection matte surface. For remote communication we installed the Logitech MeetUp video camera with an automatic room tracking – the camera automatically zooms in on the person speaking, rotates the lens and composes the image so that all participants in the conversation are visible in the wide shot.

We also installed a high-quality sound system in these individually reserved spaces, using specialized equipment from manufacturers AMC, James Loudspeaker, Bluesound, Biamp. The audio and video systems are fully integrated into the building management system, so it is much easier for the supervising staff to manage all the systems, which can be done even without entering the rooms, remotely from the central control computer in the staff area.
