Complex lighting control system installed in Latvian National Opera
Latvia National Opera, Aspazijas boulevard 3, Riga
The Latvia National Opera is one of the most prominent architectural objects in Riga and the center of Latvia culture. The Latvia National Opera was built in the 19th century, and in recent years the theater has undergone significant changes by updating the stage’s technological equipment. Audiotonas, who won international tenders for the upgrade of stage technology equipment, has repeatedly participated in the supply of control equipment for the modernization of the artistic lighting system in the main hall.
A few years ago, Audiotonas presented and installed the Compulite Vector series lighting control complex. The lighting power equipment system was completely modernized, completely replacing the old equipment with the new Compulite CompuDIM equipment complex.
During the two summer months, the old dimer cabinets were completely dismantled and 13 new CompuDIM cabinets with 48x5kW ducts were installed. With the introduction of the new dimmer system, additional floodlight connection lines were installed, extending the existing floodlight connection network to a system of more than 600 channels, where up to 5kW power floodlights can be connected to any channel.
A new digital control system for smart lighting devices has been installed throughout the theater stage, combining DMX and Ethernet network solutions. This system is based on Enttec’s computerized controllers, which are integrated into a common Ethernet network, allowing theater technicians to easily install any type of device that requires digital signal control in a common control network.
