Modern technologies in new Vilnius Gabija gymnasium

This year, a completely new, aesthetic and modern school for children from the capital’s districts opened in the Pašilaičiai microdistrict of Vilnius. The school accommodates 1000 children. Audiotonas had the opportunity to contribute to the modernization of the school and the introduction of high technology.

We installed the sound system taking into account the layout of the hall. A Line Array type system was installed, which ensures an even distribution of sound in the hall. All control equipment is linked by digital signals and meets the latest standards in the market.

We have installed a lighting system in the main assembly hall, which will allow the implementation of various types of events. All equipment is suspended on motorized bridges, so if necessary, the lights can be reconfigured according to the theme of the event.

We installed the projection screen and projector in the assembly hall on the stage, thus not displacing the hall’s high ceiling. It will be possible to display the image from the projector not only on the back wall, but also on the drop-down screen. In this way, even movies can be shown in the hall.

Stage drapery is a non-standard solution. We installed the front and back curtains on the walls. We mounted all other drapery on drop-down lighting bridges while maintaining fire safety requirements. All curtains have certificates valid in Europe confirming the flammability class. The curtains are characterized by good acoustic parameters and tear resistance.

We divided the gym into two acoustic zones. A large number of speakers, fixed on the wall and oriented towards the playing field, reduce the amount of unwanted reflections and evenly distribute the sound in the playing area. The second zone is the spectators’ balcony, which is equipped with low-profile speakers placed in such a way that there are no “blind” areas. Amplifiers with a sound processor will allow you to match the times (“delay”) between zones and eliminate resonant frequencies.

In the music and choreography classrooms, we installed a low-frequency ceiling speaker system. It is a cost-effective and practical solution that allows the teacher to demonstrate content with sound.
