Kaunas Archdiocese Curia Event Hall

Audiotonas installed modern video and audio systems for the event hall in the Curia of the Archdiocese of Kaunas. After conducting acoustic measurements of the space, Audiotonas specialists selected Renkus-Heinz acoustic systems with asymmetrical directivity sound dispersion. These systems allow for very precise direction of the sound flow to the desired parts of the hall, thus avoiding unwanted sound reflections and ensuring speech clarity throughout the room. In addition, the white color and minimalist design of Renkus-Heinz systems are ideal for interiors where conventionally shaped acoustic systems would disrupt visual harmony.

For additional acoustic properties, an AMC DSP8X8 sound processor was used, which also functions as a sound mixer. For the needs of the Curia events, a Shure SLXD digital microphone system with a handheld transmitter is permanently installed in the hall. The sound of this microphone is automatically controlled by the same AMC sound processor, so the Curia staff does not need to delve into the subtleties of sound control.

Next to the acoustic systems, a large-format video projection system with a motorized video screen was installed in the hall. Since the windows in the hall are not covered with curtains or blinds even in daylight, we chose an Epson video projector with a laser light source to create a high-quality image. This projector displays the image with a brightness of up to 8500 lumens – the image remains bright and perfectly visible even if the sun shines through the hall windows. The aforementioned motorized 4 m x 2.5 m ADEO screen ensures an even more contrasting image, and when the video system is not used, it is automatically rolled up by an electric drive.
