In the summer of 2015, during the facade restoration of the National Kaunas Drama Theater in Laisvės avenue, modern electronic posters – video screens – were installed for the first time. These devices adapted to outdoor conditions and are used for dynamically displaying information about performances and other news published by the theater. In 2021, all four video devices were once again upgraded, this time to high-definition LG 55S4J screens.
Poster screens are individually controlled, they can display different information at the same time. Information exchange and display schedules are transmitted to the screens over the Internet. The video screens are housed inside special Audipack cases that protect the screens from external atmospheric effects and mechanical damage. Screens are specially designed for use in public information purposes, can work continuously 24/7 and are characterized by a particularly high image brightness (4000 nits), which allows seeing information clearly even on a bright and sunny day.
